Why Axe Throwing?Ace Axes brings axe throwing as a popular and exciting activity; as both a competitive sport and as a recreational activity. Axe throwing is a great stress reliever as well as being lots of fun. Since it is technique as opposed to strength that is required, axe throwing is an experience that can be enjoyed by everyone aged 12 years and over.

Who can do Axe Throwing?The minimum age to take part is 12 years old. Anyone taking part under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please remember axe throwing is a physical activity and will require a degree of mobility and strength. Participants with back or neck injuries are excluded from taking part. If you have a injury or disability which you think may affect your experience, please inform your instructor.

How does a session work?Book a session online for a small group (up to 5 people), medium (6 9 people) or a larger group (10 - 12 people). We can cater for larger groups and parties too - just get in touch and we can provide a tailored quotation. Our sessions start with a safety briefing from our professionally trained instructors. Once the safety has been covered we move on to teaching you the correct stance and throwing motion. Once you have mastered hitting the target we will teach you more advanced techniques designed to improve your aim so you can get that all important bulls eye!

What should I wear?It is essential for participants’ safety that closed toed shoes are worn. No sandals or high heels. Trainers are ideal. Comfortable clothing with no hoods or loose clothing, full length trousers and if it’s cold lots of thin layers work best as the lanes are outside, but you soon get warm with the energy of throwing the axes!

What are the rules for participating in Ace Axe throwing activities?Ace Axes reserves the right to cancel a booking without refund if our instructors believe an individual is physically unable or unfit to take part. No alcohol or drugs should be consumed before participating. Intoxicated participants will be excluded. A liability waiver may be required. Participants are responsible for their own safety and that of others. Photography is allowed within your social group, and we encourage sharing photos with us for our social media.

Can I add more people to my booking?Yes absolutely, if you've already made a booking and have any late changes to the number of people who want to come, you can simply add them to the booking for an additional £20 per person, payable on arrival.
